The NFT is missing that one trait that makes the more expensive one more attractive.
What can you do? You just gotta accept your NFT the way it is.
Well, enter Normies! This project was designed with the idea of creating your own perfect Normie and being able to change all of its traits to your liking!
What is the project’s launch date?
We have a tentative release date for Friday January 28th 2022 for our whitelisted OG users so long as everything goes as intended with testing and gas prices. The public sale will be 48 hours after. We want to make sure that our community is well protected from bugs and unnecessary costs.
How did you come up with the idea?
All I’ve seen in the space never really spoke to IRL people and to IRL culture. I wanted something that could close that gap and bring people in. The idea came from Edward and I spit balling where I threw out the idea, and the concept, but he rejected me. Then in true Edward fashion, a couple days later the light bulb went off in his head like “oooooooh, this dude is on to something!”.
What Makes this project unique?
The project is the first fully customizable NFT project that is on-chain using the ERC1155 standard. This includes being able to replace traits and sell individual traits without selling the Normie itself. The project is 100% community driven. Whatever the community wants via votes/Discord we will try to the best of our ability to implement.
How Big is the team and what are their roles?
Our team consists of 4 very talented people. We have Gabe as our artist, Cihad and Edward as our backend contract developers, and Nick as our frontend website developer.
What is the price?
0.02 ETH
Why is that price fair?
We believe that 0.02 is a fair price for us to compensate ourselves solely for the work that was put in to release this project. This price is also based upon other NFT project prices and we believe that it is more than fair.

Are there any mechanics we should know about?
A massive component of our project that makes us unique and separates us from most other on-chain projects is the possibility of changing a Normie’s traits. A Normie owner can equip and unequip any traits they want.
To hammer this idea home, we want our community to visualize all of the different ways they can style their Normie using the pool of 64 traits from our ORIGIN collection. The “Create your Perfect Normie” page on our website lets you get a feel for how all the traits look together before spending any gas. A user can press the “Randomize” button as many times as they want and the output Normie will always look different. It’s a beautiful thing to have control over your NFT.
No matter how long anyone has been in the NFT space, they will love the accessibility that Normies provides.

What makes The Normies NFT innovative?
The Normies is an innovative project across 3 fronts:
- 2 on the technical side (smart contract)
- 1 at a brand level.
Technical Details:
- The Normies NFT utilizes the ERC-1155 standard rather than the ERC-721 standard that a majority of NFT projects today use.
The ERC-1155 standard allows a smart contract to create ERC-721 and ERC-20 like tokens all within a single contract under a single listing. The ERC-1155 standard is what we use to power the technology backbone of the Normies NFT which allows a Normie token owner to change the 10 traits of a Normie to what they want. Rather than a token’s value being tied primarily to the randomly generated traits and its associated rarity, a Normie’s value can be tied directly to the “assets” or traits of the Normie. Rarity in the Normies world is based on the rarity of an asset in the collection it has been released in and how many people randomly generated the asset.
To illustrate this, one of the most hyped assets within our ORIGIN collection is the Pepe Doll accessory which has a 1% chance of being generated. In theory, with a collection size of 5,000 Normies there should only be 50 pepe dolls in existence but this number can be slightly off. Assuming only 47 Pepe Dolls were generated, that will be the final supply of Pepe Dolls in the Normies ecosystem. The team plans to never re-release a given asset again in the future to maintain the scarcity and rarity values tied to each asset. - At a brand level we believe the Normies has the potential to bring a wider audience of people into the NFT community by decreasing the learning curve required to enter the space. The main question people have trouble wrapping their heads around when entering this space is “Why is this NFT worth this much money”? With NFTs primarily being art this is very subjective and requires comparisons to build an objective opinion.
In the Normies ecosystem, we believe our assets can be compared to scarcity of real life consumer goods. High fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, etc have regularly occurring Spring Summer and Fall Winter collections which are limited in supply with a fixed price on the items in the collection and a potential increased secondary market price. The Normies are no different where each “asset” or clothing of the Normie is limited in supply with a potential increase in its secondary market price.
From an ease of learning perspective we like to use the analogy that your Normie is your virtual avatar in the metaverse. There are many different articles of clothing and accessories you can use to express yourself with each trait of a Normie fully customizable. The assets in your wallet are akin to the clothes and accessories in your closet and wardrobe.
