(Los Angeles, CA) – December 7, 2021 – On December 8th, The Worldwide Asset eXchange (WAX) will launch the Sci-Fi Art Anthology collection, featuring illustrations from the golden age of science fiction books, movies, magazines and radio shows from 1910 to 1970. The collection starts with a unique 1-of-1 piece entitled “A Story of Days to Come” available as a vIRL NFT. Many fans may know “A Story of Days to Come” as it holds a unique place in Science Fiction history. Originally featured in H.G. Wells All Seeing Eye Amazing Stories published in April 1929 and illustrated by renown fantasy and artist Frank R. Paul, this vision of the future was one of the first to feature the concept of moving sidewalks, called “people movers” by the piece’s author. This imagery and its clever moniker would go on to inspire many, from imagineers at Disneyland to the scientists who eventually made this vision a reality.

The auction begins tomorrow at 1pm ET, in which collectors will have seven days to bid on the ultra-rare 1-of-1 vIRL NFT “A Story of Days to Come” and unique museum grade physical print via WAX Digital Auctions. Bidding starts at the WAXP equivalent of $1,500 and goes up in 10% increments.
