Ninjalerts: NFT Alerts from your phone

What is Ninjalerts?

Ninjalerts is a mobile and web app that gives you custom NFT alerts and push  notifications for any contract or wallet. It allows you to get alerted the moment  minting/reveals happen or when whales and influencers make their next move.  The idea is to be able to see patterns and trends in real-time so you can know  what projects are hot before everyone else. We also provide a curated list of

celebrities, whales, and smart money NFT investors that you can track their  trades.

What is the projects launch date?

October 28th. That’s when we open version 1 to a select group of members in  our discord who earn a whitelist spot (join our discord to grab your spot).  Version 1 includes contract watching alerts. Version 2 goes live on November 5  with wallet watching alerts. We already submitted v1 of the app to iOS and  Android stores and have been testing the web version, live demos and other  sneak peaks are posted in the discord.

How did you come up with the idea?

This tool was created to solve my own problem of both constantly missing  opportunities and having to be online all the time watching different feeds like  Etherscan and other tools. Usually before a drop or reveal happens, I have  Etherscan full screen on my monitor and use a chrome extension to refresh the  page every 10 seconds. I thought there had to be a better way. Then I realized  this idea of smart alerts could also apply to following whales and their trades, as  well as identifying patterns. The goal is to save time, identify opportunities faster,  and not miss out on good NFT drops.

What makes this project unique?

Ninjalerts was designed for a very specific purpose. We’re not a community and  we’re not an analytics tool. We focus on making the best, easiest to use, and  most customizable alerts so you don’t miss the most critical NFT trades and  buys. We’re also pricing this product at a very affordable level compared to  other tools.

Who are you and what’s your background?

I’m Trevor Owens, and I’m entrepreneur, developer, and startup investor. I’ve  launched five different SaaS products over the past decade and also built an  education business. Currently, I invest in Web3, DeFi, and NFT startups through  Stacks Accelerator, where I’m the Managing Partner of the venture fund.

How big is the team and what are their roles?

Right now we’re a small but experienced team. I’ve been working with my CTO  Sihoon Kim for about a year now on another SaaS product we developed for  startup accelerators and I’ve known him for more than 5 years. He’s a true full stack, 10x engineer. Actually, not to brag but I consider myself a 10x engineer as  well. Mainly because I work 2x the hours and understand user behavior and  product design 5x more than the typical engineer. Judy is a very talented  product designer both on the UX side and with visual design and branding, a  “unicorn” designer as they’re called. Alex “Sasha” Novosad is an advisor to the  project. We’re currently growing the team

How is this different than other wallet watching apps?

Other wallet watching apps that I’m aware of don’t have a mobile app or any  kind of push/chrome notifications. Also, their alerts are difficult to use and  expensive. We intentionally focused on making an app that’s simple and easy to  use, but also powerful, at an affordable price point.

What is the price?

We’re selling a limited number of Lifetime License NFTs for 0.25 ETH to our early  adopters who engage in our discord and help us grow (spots are still available  for those who join the discord before October 28th). After this initial sale, the  app will cost 0.1 ETH per month or 1 ETH per year.

Other platforms are exponentially more expensive, why price this to be  affordable

As Jeff Bezos used to say, “Your margin is my opportunity.” But really, I feel  that other tools like Nansen price out most of the market. So this is a calculated  move to target a wider market and deliver a simpler tool with a great user  experience. For someone like myself, while I can afford Nansen, I just don’t feel I  would use it enough or that I need it enough to justify the price point. It also  doesn’t do exactly what I want it to do. Nansen is great for looking back in time,  like a history of different wallets and projects, but it’s not designed to give you  qualitative data about what’s going to happen next. This is where Ninjalerts  comes in.

Why did you make this mobile first?

This came from user feedback. I asked a lot of people in the Metaverse HQ  discord (one of the top alpha communities) about the tools they use and what  they felt was lacking. Alerts were something a lot of people wanted, and  specifically they wanted push notifications.

If you think about it, we spend most of our time with our mobile phones. If you  absolutely need to know about something in real-time, having a mobile app with  rich push notifications is the best solution.

What long term plans do you have for this?

Priority #1 is to deliver on our roadmap. In the future, it we will expand the tool  based on feedback from users. Some things I am considering are making the  alerts more advanced, so that it’s not just simply alerts for a single wallet, but  alerts based on a combination of different factors and wallets. The dream is you  can program your own alerts like IF THEN statements. e.g. IF 5% of Bored Ape  holders buy into a project, send me an alert. OR, IF three of my friends in this list  mint a project, send me an alert. These type of advanced alerts are where we  can really differentiate from everything else that’s out there.

Will this integrate with stacks?

Not right away. Stacks is still very young compared to Ethereum so the explorer  doesn’t offer the same APIs at Etherscan yet. When it does, we will definitely  integrate with Stacks as I’m an extremely long-term believer in Bitcoin-backed  NFTs and Stacks is the best platform for developing NFTs on Bitcoin.
