VeVe brings Marvel into their NFT Marketplace. Star Wars and Disney not far behind
The VeVe digital NFT marketplace is having a heck of a year, VeVe hit our radars in early March when it was announced that they’d be partnering with DC Comics to launch a lot of Batman, and other DC Comics NFT’s. Around this time, DC Comics, was also sending many cease and desist letters to some of the top NF T artists in the space drawing a lot of ire from collectors. When boss logic had to cancel his NF T drop on nifty gateway that was going to be done in conjunction with the new Zack Snyder.
Additionally, initial impressions were worried about the Altcoin ECOMI being used to mint NFTs on the VeVe marketplace. The big advantage is that VeVe was incredibly accessible for collectors given you could purchase 3d augmented reality NFTs from your smartphone, including iPhone and Android device devices. They also promised interactive NF T’s and they quickly delivered on that promise with a DeLorean that you could open the doors and place in an augmented reality setting. Over the last few months they have continued teasing or actually dropping awesome NFTs like Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn and other exciting concepts. Now, they’re teasing awesome projects like a Jurassic Park. Tyrannosaurus Rex NFT and many more. When you start imagining the potential VeVe has with access to both the DC Comics and Universal Pictures backlog.
Marvel Entertainment enters the NFT world
After switching from the legacy token to the Ethereum based immutable X. VeVe started hitting their stride with the cover girls DC Universe Collection. These collections were moving 10s of 1000s of additions, between 40 and $70 each. And today, we’re excited to see that VeVe, has taken center stage. By bringing the comic book, giant Marvel Entertainment into the non fungible token game. They announced that Marvel is working with VeVe to add a digital layer to the world around us. And the announcement will surely bring some of the top superhero IP into this exciting new space. What people really need to be paying attention to is the fact that the VeVe announcement, likely means that if this goes well and collectors engage purchase and interact with characters like spider man, Wolverine, the Hulk, and more. Two other massive intellectual properties are coming right behind. We suspect that over the next few months, they will test the VeVe marketplace with some secondary Marvel comic drops. And as we head into the holiday season, we’ll start seeing the tier one comic book superheroes, reaching the space, if that goes well, we suspect Disney and Star Wars NFT’s will not be far behind. This opens up an entirely new realm for collectors to do new and exciting things. It’s also combined with incredible accessibility and ease. So even the common person doesn’t have to worry about how to fund their wallet with Ethereum or any of the other difficult processes that many of the other non fungible token marketplaces are dealing with today. This is a fantastic win for any collector of Marvel Comics DC Comics, or NF T’s. The future is bright.
