NFT Display: Rare Rooms (Virtual)

One of the first things new NFT buyers always ask is “So, How do I display it?” Normally, our response will involve a series of questions about what devices the newbie might own in their home, and proceed to discuss the trade offs of those devices, and eventually we will end with “Well, it isn’t really figured out yet.”

We recently happened across an extremely cool website that hooks up to your Nifty Gateway profile and creates a virtual gallery based on the Nifties that you own. Though its not a perfect answer to the “How do I display it?” question, it is a really cool way to experience NFTs, and will certainly shed new light on their often intricate details and build a new aspect to their appreciation.

The site is called Rare Rooms, and lives at https://www.rarerooms.io/. It is currently free to join, although we expect that to change later this week when the creators release a drop on Nifty Gateway, and user signups go wild.

Several of the NFT Culture staff members created accounts and linked their galleries.

Mike V – Beeple’s Politics is Bullshit #1 is always a showstopper, but the gallery aspect really calls attention to the excellent attention to detail of Locked and Loaded’s City Creature. Billelis art is also especially exceptional at this scale.

Rob S – Viewing Beeple Everydays – Raw in this large format is an interesting way to view that work, because it allows you to actually appreciate each of the individual pieces that make it up. Pak’s Sixes of Narcissus is a real beauty, with exceptional 3D detail that comes to life in the virtual gallery. Lucho Poletti’s Freedom Money is an example of a piece of artwork where seeing it in a life size rendition really helps to capture the nuance and intricacy of the work.
